Today was Chicago's first sixty degree day in 2011. I took a longer lunch at work and walked down to the Ohio Street Beach. It was so warm, quiet and peaceful at the beach. It was nice seeing water rolling in on the beach instead of ice. I had to touch the water to welcome in spring.
However, it was also strange watching the water rolling onto the shore, because it reminded me of the tsunami in Japan. Of course the waves coming in on Lake Michigan aren't from Japan. But I was imagining that they were.
But it was such a nice day that as I walked along the shore, I wrote "Yay for spring" in the sand and took some photos. What would you have written in the sand? See my photo series and video at [link]
