Here's a classic spire from 1929 and in the background is a modern spire from 1990. The classic spire on the Carbide & Carbon building is said to be based on a gold-foiled champagne bottle seen at an office party. Faded in the background thanks to some Chicago fog is a modern spire that sits atop the Two Prudential Plaza. I shot this photo on the 39th floor of Hotel 71 (look for several more photos to be posted from this series).
Great photo, great Deco building.
Nice! i like the ambient and the fog!!
I love it!
I love it!
The level of detail is just amazing! HDRI looks quite interesting.
Wow, that's amazing at first I thought " great detail in the drawing" and after reading the comments you made it's like " whoa!" Haha Glad I live in chicago!
Tell me what you did to give it that 3 d look & the fog is filtered right? Man This is gr8. Its a keeper.
This is an HDR shot using three exposures. The fog it totally not filtered. That's how the scene really looked at the time! INCREDIBLE, eh? Chicago in the fog is just SOOO beautiful.
This is a photo? I'm impressed.
